New & Noteworthy
Tickets are now on sale for ‘Tis the season!
This December, we welcome the holidays with the gem that is Mendelssohn’s rarely performed Christmas cantata. This sets the stage for an array of holiday music that tells the story of the season with selections ranging from the classical – Bach and Handel – to the traditional, rendered in richly harmonic, contemporary arrangements.
7:30 PM on Wednesday, December 10 & Thursday, December 11
The Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral, Little Italy
The concert includes Felix Mendelssohn’s Vom Himmel hoch (“From heav’n on high”) and a suite of carols arranged by Ryan Brandau, plus favorites from Bach’s Magnificat and Handel’s Messiah.
With soloists Abby Brodnick, Soprano, and Harrison Hintzche, Baritone
Plus, we're delighted to welcome special guests, the Scotch-Plains Fanwood Select Choir, directed by Mrs. Jan Allen, for our December 10 performance.
‘Tis timeless, ‘tis reflective, ‘tis joyful – ‘tis the season! Make plans now to join us for this sparkling holiday event – a concert so nice, we’re singin’ it twice!
